well the past two weekends I had been at my parents, so I just went to church with them
Sunday I plan on trying out one new church.

I find this a little ironic I'm talking to you about church. Because when I met you on Easter Sunday in 2003 (right before we went to see the Matrix movie) you were dressed up and I asked if you just went to church and you said you didn't believe in church.

I don't really like church, I think that it's become too institutionalized, in that the church is more important than God & Jesus, but I have been able to find a church (granted in Cedar falls) that I felt wasn't about that, that the church wasn't the most important thing, but Jesus was.

There is one on Hickman out in Waukee I will try, or there is one on University, I haven't decided which one to visit first

Oh I know EXACTLY what you mean. That's the church I came from that I grew up in. They actually took me off the membership role because I hadn't gone in so long. But they called my dad to tell him (rather than calling me...as I was an adult out on my own), but they never called me to find out if anything was wrong. Had they done that, they would've learned I was going through a severe depression which is why I was scarce at church.

So, I showed my face that Sunday. Then never went back. The guy called my dad AGAIN (which really upset me), but whatever.
The church I go to now is NOT about the institution of religion. Our pastor preaches right from the Bible and it is about your relationship with our Savior. It's a WONDERFUL church.

I would recommend my church...Grace Church, but it's on the east side. I think you live on the West side?

Grace West...how can I explain it? We have affiliated churches with our church. Like a bunch of people left our church to start this church on the west side to be easier for people on the west side not to have to drive so far. Obviously, it isn't the same church. They have their own pastor and such. But, they believe the same as our church does.

I want to try the ones in town first, because I HATE driving, so I don't want to have to drive to go to church.
