i'm considering about lying on my FAFSA form (student aid, college)
i love my job but i make less than 1/2 of what i made at Satan's Q. And I'm hard pressed to reveal savings that needs to be my cushion in life.
eh?
ps: madd, i know it's *wrong* but .... well, just but

Honestly, I've found through my husband's experience that lying about these things can only cause more trouble in the future that ISN'T worth it. So, I would advise to tell the truth.

well, I've definitely been there - seems like just yesterday! I had been tempted to close my accounts then re-open them later (though I never wanted to put that much effort into it so I never did). I tend to side with Mair in not taking the risk because you don't want it to bite you in the ass. Although, they aren't really quick to act...I have made MAYBE 5 payments on my loans in the last 3 years, and have not been in deferment or forbearance...so I've been in default pretty much that whole time. They are just now giving me notice that they can take my tax return if they want to. Not that they WILL, but that they CAN. Anyway - I would try to find any loophole or ways around things, but I don't know that I would outright lie on it...the government is slow, but eventually they want what is due to them and they will get it no matter the expense to you.
man - I'm long-winded tonight.

good example.
but shoot, i'm just looking for loan money that doesn't drain the savings i've worked for. that's all. i'm not looking to cheat the government, but to get student loans that don't soak me. that's all, really.
i deserve to have my money. i'm not looking for grants, just reasonable loans.
shut up, lori

ALRIGHT ALREADY
as for the 'honoring' thing - shouldn't it be the other way around? nothing i do deserves honor, eh?

So I went to bed and told my husband what you said. He must've been drinking last night cuz when I said the word "Snarky" to him he cracked up.
Ok so he wasn't really drinking. But it takes a lot to get him to laugh so apparently the word snarky is really hilarious. (Of course I thought so. that's why I told him about it.I just didn't expect HIM to think it was funny)

oh and another thing. I didn't even understand your
snarky post until I read it again this morning.
You're right...NOTHING we do deserves honor, but God in his Grace gives it to us anyway.
