Actually, going from the post where monkeybone and sillyyak commented, I think 801 looks very... nice? I looked up Flemings and it looks nice also. It also has some excellent reviews. While the two places do not appear to actually have a dress code, I think going there and dressing up will do the trick. Thank you all for your help!

Hmm, really... drat, now I wish I had not made a reservation for the other one. I had gone online, and saw at some site perfect reviews for Flemings. So I think what I will do is go to 801 Grand some other time when it is decided to eat out. I would like to hit everywhere, actually, now that I found a place that lists and rates about everything in the Des Moines area. So I will go to 801 next
Thanks again for your help!

yeah, some of our heated arguments include the fact that I seem to not change to the way I dress (which has always been untrue, but that is another story, hehe), so I know that will make her happy... plus I decided to also buy a high chair, made from wood, since she has really wanted them, and I am against them because they are super expensive, and I think that is crazy to pay for that for a child... so why not for a gift instead?

No, I meant where is the site or place that has a listing of all the places to eat in Des Moines?
